Leith Paste-up
In November 2021 I attended the fantastic four-day London International Pasteup Festival at Hoxton Gallery as well as open air spaces around the streets of Shoreditch. It was a fabulous atmosphere and added so much colour to the streets.
I returned home to Edinburgh armed with artwork from many of the participating artists in the hope of creating a similar atmosphere of colour. Since returning home I’ve received further artwork from many other artists.
Fast forward to 12th January 2022! Edinburgh based French artist Antoine Tillier @iamant1 and I spent an amazing afternoon pasting up the stunning artwork as well as some of his own at The Biscuit Factory @thebiscuitfactory in Leith. The artwork on display is by local, UK and international artists. While we were pasting up the artwork, many locals stopped to admire the artwork and commented on how the themes and vibrant colours cheered them up.
Thank you to every artist who donated amazing artwork, each piece was very much appreciated. I hope that we’ve done justice to your work on the display.
We are looking for more paste-up artwork from local, UK and international artists who would be willing to donate their work to cover more of the hoardings. If you are interested in donating your artwork to us, please get in touch with me by Instagram message or via my contact details above. Many thanks.
Check out my paste-up posts on Borders Journeys Instagram as all of the artists are tagged in the photographs there.
